How does publishing to X (Twitter) get paid for?
We hold the X developer application and pay X for every post, so you need no X developer account of your own. X charges far more for a post containing a link, and we pass that through: ₹2 a post, or ₹25 if it contains a link. Each part of a thread is its own post. Paid plans include a monthly credit and you can buy more at any time; credit you have bought does not expire while your workspace exists, and is not refundable in cash. A new workspace starts with ₹200 of X credit, once, on top of whatever its plan includes.
Can I self-host Socio Manager on my own server?
Yes. A self-hosted licence gives you the whole application, your own database and your own backups.
What happens to my data if I leave?
Your data stays yours and you can take it with you at any time: an export gives you every post, every metric and every uploaded file, as CSV plus the media, and the download stays available for 7 days. If a workspace is closed we give 30 days notice and it keeps working throughout, so there is time to export it. After that the workspace and its uploads are deleted outright rather than archived. Can I post to my personal Facebook profile or Instagram account?
No, and the reason differs between the two. Facebook Pages: Facebook has no API for publishing to a personal profile — no tool has one, so a Page is the only thing that can be connected. A Page is free to create from your own profile (Facebook → Pages → Create), and visitors see the Page's name rather than yours. Instagram: A personal Instagram account cannot be published to by any tool. Switch it to a professional account in the Instagram app — Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account, Business or Creator — then link it to a Facebook Page you manage, and connect again. Every other network listed above connects the account you sign in with, your own profile included.
